Successful film screening of My Grandfather’s People at “Ciné Flisvos”

The film My Grandfather’s People of the acclaimed Turkish director, Çağan Irmak, was screened at the open-air cinema “Ciné Flisvos” on Monday 15 September, giving the approximately 500 people who attended the event, the opportunity to enjoy moments of reminiscence, emotion and joy.

The film projection event was organized by the Culture and Tourism Office of the Turkish Embassy in Athens, which aims to support major cultural events and promote inspired artists.

The film presents the story of Grandpa Mehmet Yavaş, who was forced to migrate from Crete due to the population exchange, but never stopped hoping to return to the island at some point.
