«Turkey Home» Official Premium Destination collaborates with the Euroleague Basketball
Turkey is the “star” of European basketball courts with the international tourism campaign «Turkey Home»- «Official Premium Destination» of Euroleague 2015-2016.
The international campaign «Turkey Home» or simply put «in Turkey you feel at home» in less than two years conquered the digital communication audiences by promoting the country to the globe. Turkey, through its campaign, is the country with the most twitter followers (793.791), the most Facebook page likes (4.351.242) and was recently awarded as the best travel page during the «Skifties Awards 2015» event.
The cooperation of the Culture and Tourism Ministry of Turkey through the «Turkey Home» campaign with the Euroleague includes the matches of Euroleague, Eurocup, Top 16 and Final Four, as part of the communication strategy of Turkey. 18 countries and 60 teams participate in the organization, with more than 2.008.000.000 TV viewers, 2.112.803 fans in the courts and 627 million followers on social media.
The General Manager in Promotion of the Culture and Tourism Ministry of Turkey, İrfan Önal, notes: «After successfully cooperating on the Final Four organized in May 2015 in Madrid, we met with those responsible for Euroleague and signed an agreement not only for the Final Four but the entire organization, aiming to the international promotion of the country».
The President and CEO of Euroleague Basketball, Jordi Bertomeu, says: «The collaboration of the «Turkey Home» campaign of the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry with the Euroleague organization, that attracts millions of people worldwide, will have important effects in publicity. We wish for this relationship to be continued in the years to follow».
